What To Expect

The initial call: A consultation is required before booking a session. During the consultation a series of questions will be asked to determine if I am a good fit for you.  As an ethical duty, if were are not a good match I will refer you to other great therapists that I believe would be a better fit for you.

Lets make it happen: After determining that we are a good the initial session follows. During the first session you will be required to read, understand and sign consent forms and establish goals. We will also get to know each other and towards the end of the session we decide how to proceed.

How many visits? Depending on your problems and treatment goals, therapy can last a few sessions, several weeks or years. Keep in mind that therapy usually requires multiple visits and there may not be any instant solutions. While you are likely wanting to know how long will it take to "feel better," this is very individualized and no simple answer.

Trust the process: It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix. Therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client and therapist alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
